Oriental Rug Retailers of America, Inc.

ORRA established in 1969, is yet another non-profit organization established to support Oriental rug retailers, wholesalers, importers & service companies. A vibrant organization, it was formed to bring high standards & ethical practices to a business fraught with itinerant sales and misinformation. It has transformed itself into a reliable organization offering authentic informations on the rug industry.

After developing the Certified Rug Appraiser Program, the organization even certifies an appraiser of oriental rugs after an exacting examination which consists of written as well visual identification of a wide variety of rugs. All these successful programs have broaden the overall perspective of the ORRA which has made CRA's even acceptable as experts by the banking & insurance industries in the U.S.A. & Canada.


The ORRA is working in close proximity with its members in the Consumer Protection Program. The association even comes out with its quarterly ORRA NEWS publication which informs members with the latest on business, new members, interesting articles & activities at the conventions and market trends & various updates. The members are given the freedom to express their takes on informational pieces in an economic format in the publication's Consumer Education insert category.

At every annual convention of the ORRA, the members get enough opportunity to build valuable relationships with other members of the carpet industry. The employees are even offered with valuable training opportunities through the medium of convention seminars. This includes a variety of topics which helps in enriching the overall enjoyment of oriental rugs & helps in empowering the sales staff involving persuasive selling techniques.
